Düsseldorf /Berlin, 17.02.2011
The opti'11 booth of Nigura Metzler was a hub of interest because Nigura was exhibiting a premiere: the new MICHALSKY EYEW EAR Collection 2011. "Interest was keen in the trade even bef ore the start of the fair," said Dominik Müser, Managing Director of Nigura Metzler Optics, "The news had spread like wildfire that prescription frames were also being introduced as well as sunglasses."
Simultaneously with the fair in Munich, designer Michael Michalsky presented the collection in the form of an art installation at his MICHALSKY StyleNite during the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin.
The collection combines the special style elements of the 1960s and 70s with the zeitgeist of the modern era. A reinterpretation of classical design elements which transports the lifestyle and the spirit of the age into the present. The design of the prescription frames and sunglasses, fine and luxurious details in combination with subdued, reticent colours, form the characteristics of the collection. High-quality materials combined with complex corrugations and tree-dimensional logos are presented in a stylish look.
The highlights of the collection are the strictly limited catwalk sunglasses whose ultramodern design elements are taken over in an unobtrusive manner into the other models of the collection.
The MICHALSKY EYEWEAR Collection will be available from selected opticians and in the MICHALSKY stores from the spring.
